Who is Boogie?
Boogie is the main bass player for the japanese metal band Jiluka. The band is mostly private, as fans dont know much about the members outside of what they share in interviews or online. Boogie in particular seems to not post much online, which makes it even more difficult to find much about him, outside of the few posts hes made online. The other band members say he is kind and quiet, despite his scary looking stage outfits.
JILUKA
Jiluka is a Japanese visual kei metal band that formed in 2013, and the band has built a reputation for their technical skills, amazing vocals, and striking visual aesthetics. Their music combines heavy drums and guitars, metal vocals, and some electronic elements, creating a style people often describe as "Gothic Metal." With explosive live performances and an ever-growing international fanbase, they have become one of the most popular metals bands of the visual kei scene.
What makes Japanese metal different from Western metal?
Japanese metal stands out from Western metal because it's often a lot more experimental and isn't as concerned with fitting into one specific subgenre. While many Western bands stick closely to styles like thrash, death, or black metal, Japanese bands tend to mix different influences together without worrying about the specific style. It's common to hear heavy guitar riffs alongside orchestral music, electronic sounds, pop melodies, or even traditional Japanese instruments. Many bands are also part of the visual kei scene, where dramatic costumes, elaborate makeup, and theatrical performances are just as important as the music itself.

Why I Love Boogie
Honestly I kinda just picked him at random when I first got into the band, but also because I liked his hair. I picked him because I liked his hair and nothing else at first. I later learned that he and anouther of his bandmates work with Mana sometimes, to model for fashion or help with his other projects. knowing that he liked Mana, made me like him more. He also sometimes streams games, and plays minecraft. Those two things felt relatable which in turn made me like him even more AGAIN.
