I started listening to slipknot today because somehow I NEVER have, despite my lengthy list of metal artists I listen to. They're great! Like really great! How did it take me this long to listen to them?!?!?! All I can think of is how some of the Jiluka members credit them for inspiring them to do music. And yeah, I can hear it. In both Slipknot and Jilukas music. The only other comment that comes to mind is something I heard someone say at a convention I went to, where I was at a booth selling Vkei and Japanese metal CDs. Someone listened to Jiluka, presumably for the first time, and all I heard was "jeez, are western metal bands even trying?!" which made me laugh. Its similar to a comment my Dad made at the Jiluka concent we went to, where he said that Van halen will no longer be on his gym playlist anymore because its not fast enough, or something similar.

THEY'RE BRINGING BACK MYSPACE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! WHAT!? IM SO EXCITED FR! I am so tired of modern social media though. I really don't look at my instagram feed for more than three minutes a day now, and thats just to see what my buddies are up to, or to see what the bandmen I like are doing. Except Mana, who is old, so I have to go out of my way and check his Twitter. Also, I get to finally move into my first apartment soon! Maybe I will post a pic of my room once its all done!

I have over 5000 views on my site?!?!?! THATS CRAZY! I never thought anything I made would ever get so much attention! I have been putting more things into my Shrine and Radio pages lately, including an artist list of every artist I listen to. Music is important to me, since it helps inspire art I listen to lots and lots of music so my music page is detailed. My taste in music is a weird mix of things. I also may make a page of art refs, which will be free for others to use! and maybe a how to page, of tutorials? I dont know of what yet. I also want to add more music to my radio.

I just updated my japanese page, finally! The code has been sitting in my notepad++ app forever. I only have the main page and lesson one out. I have also noticed a glitch in my site where if I have a link or button that works- but the page isnt made yet- it will not take you to the "page not found" page. No no. It takes you to my recipes page. Specifiaclly, my "Egg Dishes" page. I have no idea why it does this. I wish it would go to the right page. I have also very recently decided to get into make up, and have been putting it off due to my bad eyesight. I can't put make up on if I can't see. I also want to make a closet page, wich will just be a blog type page for my outfits or make up looks, just for fun.

I cant believe that i have over 2,000 visits on my site! I wish people would interact with my chat box more but I am not one to complain! I had maybe 60 or so followers on my instagram when I still used it, but even then I didn't use it much. 2,000 pairs of eyes on my artwork (since thats what my site is mostly for, so I hope people are looking at it) is crazy to me.

I made more shrine pages for all the things I like. I looked at what other people on this site do, and took some notes. I made different catagories for my shrines, of people, bands, books, and characters. The pages for people will still be the most detailed. I do like making each page of my main navigation bar different. I have many hobbies and intrests and I like lots of different looks for websites, its hard to pick just one. I like a variety. I have been thinking about adding a photography catagory but I dont know where to put it. I dont even do photography that much but I still like it.

I made the Boogie shrine page today and I came across many silly images of all the members of Jiluka. I love how goofy the younger V-kei bands can be sometimes. They are so unserious.

I had the idea to organize all my images and backgrounds into folders for my site. I was tired of looking at a jumbled and unorganized mass of color and shape on my end of the site. I already had all of my images and such in the neocities general folder. When you have an image, you can just type the file name . png or jpg and etc. but if you are pulling that image from a folder, it needs to have the folder name / that image name . png or jpg. So I made all the folders and put my images in. Only some of my site broke, because I had to change the old files to add on the folder /. I fixed them, but I wanted to make a folder for halloween images. I dont know if I can now, but I will keep trying.
JUNE 22
Spent time remaking a lot of the looks of the home page and my blog page today. Maybe I will make my pages all different but with the same layout. I am going to have to since I changed the look so drasticly. I understand coding a little better now but I have so many pages to remake, it will take forever. Oh well. I will make my portfolio page look good, and I will make my shrine page and the pages within it look good. I have neglected to do anything with my japanese page yet but I will at least update its look so I can edit it later on.

Today I worked on my Radio page. It took HOURS. I took inspiration from anouther user called KNOXSTATION and the radio page they got set up! Great stuff. It was weirdly SUPER hard to find a transparent jpg or png of a CD for the moving element at the bottom of the page, and it was even worse coding all the music onto it. But it has most of my fav songs so it was well worth it. Back to the jpg thing though, every site I went to wanted me to pay money for a single jpg. Sometimes you cant just download an image right off google bc it will save as the wrong file type, so you have to go to the actual site the image is hosted on, especially if its a transparent one. But its ok, bc my radio page looks cool. I also did end up buying a monthly payment plan for neocities because I can see myself spending many MANY more hours making my site my own. The sheer level of customization that html and css coding gives you is truly something. Wix wanted me to pay up 300 bucks yearly, which is absurd- and now i will only pay maybe 60 bucks yearly, which is nothing compatred to 300. This site is free to use, but like I said, I wanted access to more. Turns out I really like coding! And I would much rather give my hard earned money to a creative site like this one, than a greedy company like Wix.

Being a giant fan for Avatar is a little odd, because people look at you weird when you say "no no, I mean the blue people, not the cartoon." Although I am a small fan of that Avatar too. I am aware of the many issues of the movies, and I have no problems at all with many people not liking them, I totally understand it. The franchise has a special place in my heart still, despite this. I enjoy the worldbuilding immensely and wish more of it was shown in the movies. Theres so much the audiance doesnt know unless they are a nerd, like myself, and other fans. So much of the culture, the customs, and the language, is religated to the background. I understand that the movies are for a general audiance though. Maybe one day a Lord of The Rings type extended cut will happen.
