TOKYO, JAPAN

An Evil Spirit

Seventeen-year-old Jotaro Kujo locks himself inside a jail cell, claiming that he is possessed by an evil spirit.

His grandfather, Joseph Joestar, explains that the spirit is actually a manifestation of Jotaro's life energy. This power is known as a Stand.

Jotaro's Stand, Star Platinum, possesses incredible speed, strength, precision, and eyesight.

THE JOESTAR CURSE

Dio Returns

Dio survived the destruction of the ship at the end of Phantom Blood by stealing Jonathan Joestar's body.

After spending one hundred years beneath the ocean, Dio emerges and develops a Stand of his own.

His return causes every living member of the Joestar bloodline to awaken a Stand, including Jotaro's mother, Holly.

FIFTY DAYS

Holly's Stand

Holly lacks the fighting spirit needed to control her newly awakened Stand.

The Stand begins harming her body, leaving her with only fifty days to live.

The only way to save her is to find and defeat Dio, breaking the supernatural connection he has created within the Joestar family.

THE CRUSADERS

The Team Assembles

Jotaro and Joseph begin their journey alongside Muhammad Avdol, a Stand user who controls fire through Magician's Red.

They are joined by Noriaki Kakyoin, who was freed from Dio's control, and Jean Pierre Polnareff, a French swordsman searching for his sister's killer.

Together, they become the Stardust Crusaders.

ACROSS ASIA

Enemy Stand Users

The Crusaders travel through Singapore, India, Pakistan, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Red Sea.

Along the way, Dio sends assassins whose Stands are named after Tarot cards and Egyptian gods.

Every battle forces the group to solve a new supernatural mystery rather than relying on strength alone.

THE FOOL

Iggy Joins

Upon arriving in Egypt, the group is joined by Iggy, a stubborn Boston Terrier with the sand-controlling Stand known as The Fool.

Though selfish and difficult, Iggy eventually risks his life to protect Polnareff from Vanilla Ice.

His sacrifice reveals that he had become a true member of the Crusaders.

CAIRO, EGYPT

Dio's Mansion

The Crusaders finally locate Dio's mansion in Cairo.

They enter knowing that Dio's strongest servants are waiting inside, including the deadly Vanilla Ice.

The final battles divide the group and cost the lives of Avdol, Iggy, and Kakyoin.

THE WORLD

The Secret of Dio's Stand

Kakyoin discovers that Dio's Stand, The World, can stop time.

Mortally wounded, Kakyoin uses his final moments to send Joseph a message revealing the Stand's ability.

Dio uses his power to overwhelm Joseph and Jotaro, believing himself completely untouchable.

FINAL BATTLE

Jotaro Versus Dio

During the final battle, Jotaro realizes that Star Platinum and The World are similar Stands.

Jotaro gradually learns to move within Dio's frozen time and eventually develops the ability to stop time himself.

Star Platinum destroys The World, defeating Dio and ending the threat that has haunted the Joestar family for a century.

STAND PROUD

A Stand is the physical manifestation of a person's fighting spirit. Each Stand possesses a unique appearance and ability, ranging from fire and swordsmanship to spirit photography, mind control, and the power to stop time.

Stardust Crusaders transforms JoJo's battles into supernatural puzzles. Victory depends not only on power, but on discovering what an enemy Stand can do before it is too late.

THE CRUSADERS

Jotaro Kujo

A quiet and intimidating student whose Stand, Star Platinum, possesses tremendous speed, strength, precision, and the ability to stop time.

Older but still clever and unpredictable. His Stand, Hermit Purple, creates spirit photographs and conducts Hamon energy.

Muhammad Avdol

A knowledgeable Egyptian fortune teller whose Stand, Magician's Red, controls powerful supernatural flames.

Noriaki Kakyoin

A thoughtful student freed from Dio's control. Hierophant Green attacks from a distance using the Emerald Splash.

Jean Pierre Polnareff

A proud French swordsman seeking justice for his sister. Silver Chariot fights with incredible speed and precision.

Iggy

A rude but powerful Boston Terrier. His Stand, The Fool, manipulates sand and can form wings, armor, and false bodies.

Dio

The immortal enemy of the Joestar family. His Stand, The World, possesses overwhelming strength and the power to stop time.

Star Platinum

Jotaro's powerful close-range Stand. It possesses extraordinary strength, speed, accuracy, and eventually the ability to stop time.

DIO BRANDO

Dio Brando is one of the most iconic villains in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, serving as the main antagonist of both Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders. Born into poverty with an abusive father, Dio grew up believing that power was the only way to escape weakness. After being adopted into the wealthy Joestar family, he quickly became obsessed with stealing Jonathan Joestar's life, manipulating everyone around him through lies, cruelty, and ambition. After discovering the mysterious Stone Mask, Dio willingly sacrifices his humanity to become a vampire. With superhuman strength, regeneration, and countless vampiric abilities, he begins building an army of undead followers in his quest for absolute domination. Although Jonathan ultimately defeats him, Dio survives by stealing Jonathan's body, allowing him to return nearly a century later.

In Stardust Crusaders, Dio awakens the incredibly powerful Stand "The World", capable of stopping time for several seconds. From his mansion in Egypt, he commands a vast network of Stand users while seeking complete control over the Joestar bloodline and the world itself. His final battle against Jotaro Kujo is one of the most famous confrontations in manga. Dio's charisma, confidence, and theatrical personality have made him one of anime's most recognizable villains. Dio leaves an impact every time he appears. His influence extends far beyond his own story, shaping the fate of the Joestar family for generations and becoming one of the central forces driving the entire JoJo series.
